The 107.46 acre Stateline Islands Unit lies along the North Platte River, one half mile south of Henry, Nebraska and approximately 25 miles west of the North Platte National Wildlife Refuge. The main island is surrounded by water except for a small portion on the extreme southwest corner where a levee now exists. A number of ponds are on the island which are extensively used by wildlife. The area is under the primary jurisdiction of the Bureau of Reclamation, but irrigation facilities in the Unit are managed by Farmers irrigation District, and the area is managed for wildlife by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service(USFWS) as a Unit of the Crescent Lake/North Platte National Wildlife Refuge. The USFWS can be reached at Crescent Lake/North Patte NWR Complex, 115 Railway Street, Suite C109, P.O.Box 1346, Scottsbluff, NE 69363-1346. The Unit is open to the public for self-guided wildlife viewing. No improvements, services, or facilities.
