Utah State Parks: Willow, box elder and maple trees surround Hyrum Reservoir providing shade as well as habitat for waterfowl and wildlife. During the day, find a spot on the beach to cast a fishing line or relax with a good book. Sit around a cozy campfire with family and friends at night.
Hyrum State Park is a terrific year-round fishing destination for bass, trout, perch, and bluegill. In the summer the park is an excellent place to participate in a variety of water sports. The park makes a great base camp for hikers, bikers, rock climbers, and auto tours thanks to close proximity to Logan and Blacksmith Fork canyons, the American West Heritage Center and the Wellsville Mountains. Logan is a great cultural hub with multiple performing arts venues and events — including the acclaimed Utah Festival Opera — and is an adventure gateway to the Logan Canyon Scenic Byway.
