Daniel Boone National Forest

The Daniel Boone National Forest offers an abundance of outdoor recreation opportunities. Camping, hiking and fishing are just a few of the attractions that draw more than one million visitors to the forest each year. During the summer months, campground events are scheduled for campers to enjoy.

Explore opportunities across the forest by selecting a recreation activity from links on the left.  You may concentrate your search to one of four districts by selecting from the Areas and Activities sidebar.

Fees are required at some areas, such as boat ramps and campgrounds. However, most recreation opportunities are free for your use and enjoyment. Commercial outfitters, guides and groups of 75 people or more must obtain a Special Use Permit prior to hosting an event.
